Chapter One: Page Six

Aaand we're done with this scene! Yay! To be honest, I'm a little relieved. The backgrounds were getting more and more sparse, lol.

I actually really like the way this page turned out, and I got it done pretty quickly. I think I sort of fell into the trap for the first 5 pages of trying to fit in as much action into each page as possible and crowd them with panels because I was feeling stressed about my once-weekly update schedule and how slow the story will inevitably progress at that rate. Maybe someday I'll be able to update more than once a week, but until then, I have to just try to make the best comic I can page-by-page, without worrying *too* much about how fast the story is going. As long as there is at least some action and intrigue on every page, I think it will be okay. Pacing is definitely impotant for a webcomic, but I shouldn't overdo it. So I tried to apply that here and it was really gratifying to do a page the way I would've done it before, haha, rather than stuffing in ALL THE THINGS!

I hope you guys like the page as much as I do, and I hope you'll come back next week for the first page of the next scene! Bye!
